Scrunchie Stacker

Materials:
Red Heart Soft Yarn (or similar yarn of choice) in 1 or 2 colors
Size F aluminum crochet hook
Polyester fiberffill
Round of plastic canvas to fit base of stacker (optional)
DEC = insert hook in next sc, YO, draw up a loop, insert hook in next sc, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw yarn through all 3 loops on hook.
INSTRUCTIONS:
DO NOT JOIN AT THE END OF EACH ROUND, JUST CONTINUE WORKING IN ROUNDS BY MARKING THE 1ST STITCH OF EACH ROUND AND STUFFING FIRMLY W/ FIBERFILL AS YOU GO ALONG. A ROUND PIECE OF PLASTIC CANVAS CUT TO FIT MAY BE INSERTED IN THE BASE OF THE STACKER BEFORE FILLING TO HELP PROVIDE A FLATTER BASE FOR THE STACKER, BUT THIS IS OPTIONAL.
* If using 2 colors, start with Color A.
Ch 3, join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4: (Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24 sc)
Rnd 5: (Sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30 sc)
Rnd 6: (Sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (36 sc)
Rnd 7: (Sc in each of next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (42 sc)
Rnd 8: (Sc in each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (48 sc)
Rnd 9: (Sc in each of next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (54 sc)
Rnd 10: (Sc in each of next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (60 sc)
Rnd 11: (Sc in each of next 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (66 sc)
Rnd 12: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around. (66 sc)
Rnds 13 - 16: Working in both loops, sc in each sc around. (66 sc per round)
Rnd 17: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around. (66 sc)
Rnd 18: (Sc in each of next 9 sc, dec) around. (60 sc)
Rnd 19: (Sc in each of next 8 sc, dec) around. (54 sc)
Rnd 20: (Sc in each of next 7 sc, dec) around. (48 sc)
Rnd 21: (Sc in each of next 6 sc, dec) around. (42 sc)
Rnd 22: (Sc in each of next 5 sc, dec) around. (36 sc)
Rnd 23: (Sc in each of next 4 sc, dec) around. (30 sc)
* If using 2 colors, switch to Color B at end of Rnd 23.
Rnd 24: Working in front loops only, sc in each sc around. (30 sc)
Rnds 25 - 60: Working in both loops, sc in each sc around. (30 sc per rnd.) (*more or less rnds can be worked at this point to make the post of the stacker taller or shorter as desired*)
* If using 2 colors, switch to Color A at end of Rnd 60.
Rnd 61: Working in front loops only, sc in each sc around. (30 sc)
Rnd 62: (Sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (36 sc)
Rnd 63: (Sc in each of next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (42 sc)
Rnd 64: (Sc in each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (48 sc)
Rnd 65: (Sc in each of next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (54 sc)
Rnd 66: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around. (54 sc)
Rnds 67 - 69: Working in both loops, sc in each sc around. (54 sc)
Rnd 70: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around. (54 sc)
Rnd 71: (Sc in each of next 7 sc, dec) around. (48 sc)
